is that if you have it engage too close to the floor, when you have it disengaged, the clutch may still be forced into contact with the flywheel. This would lead to excess wear on the clutch (although I'm not sure how much). I just have mine where I can't feel any noticeable drag through the pedals or notice an rpm dip, and it's still pretty close to the floor. Not sure if there is a better way to find the right adjustment though...
